-WebMaster's Note-

This page is dedicated to the stuff that I thought was very interesting and should be known by all who love the sport of volleyball. There are some volleyball games that can be played on a IBM computer.

Really needed protection gears and simple everyday things I found that were most interesting are also posted. I will try to come out with reviews on how I feel about certain products and wether if I feel if the certain product is as useful and priced right, too high or in rare cases too cheap!

This month's game is called Hyper- Volleyball. It is a game made by Mc'O River in the late 80's for many video game systems such as Turbo Graphics 16, Sega Genesis, and Super Nintendo. It is very hard and lucky for me to have found this game. I hope you all enjoy it.
Play Without Fear Ankle Brace

The Active Ankle is a very needed protection if you want to play volleyball safely. There might be some people out there that think I don't need ankle protection because my ankle is strong. Well your ankles are not strong at all. It is better to get this product before you get hurt. Trust me; when you break your ankle its like taking one in the nuts twice. (One because of the pain and Two because of the hospital bill). Trust me I know.

Knee Pads

If you are like me, then you probably need good knee pads. I really hate it when you dive and bang-up your knee or even worse, get a floor burn. A big nasty floor burn hurts even more because the sweat will sting like hell. Therefore I think a good knee pad should not be expensive or ugly. I recommend the Asics International kneepad. It only cost $17.00 for a pair, but looks and feels a lot better than the other kneepads out there. You can purchase this product in Spike Nashbar's Online Catalogue.

Asics International Kneepad -Excellent shock absorption and performance. Burnout resistant cover. One size fits all. Specify Color: White or Black. $16.90
Men's Shoes

The shoes I recommend this month is affordable yet supportive. I think it fits me well and gives me great traction and stability on the court. Here's some BS the manufacturer had to write "The Mizuno Men's Eliminator Mid. This shoe features a support strap and gum rubber sole with stabilizing technology." I just think its a great pair of shoes. It might be a little heavier than other shoes, but it last longer. $50

Women's Shoes

This month's shoe recommended for women is the Kaepa Women's Trainer Low. It looks sporty and consist of a very light. It provides exceptional grip and the toes are performed so it gives a better launch while jumping. To tell you the truth, I'm not a woman so I don't know what women like in shoes I presume the same thing as men so if any ladies have any suggestions just contact me and I'll take in your suggestion. I did hear a lot of good reviews about this pair of shoes though. $50

Shoes

A nice and comfortable pair of shoes is needed for volleyball due to the nature of the game. Preferably volleyball shoes made by Asics, Adidas, Kaepa, Mizuno, Nike. If volleyball shoes is not stylish enough, then indoor basketball shoes will also work. But running shoes should never be worn while playing volleyball. Running shoes are higher on the heel and lower in the toe area therefore giving it a good momentum builder which is great for running, but this same design also causes the knee caps to lock up or sharp pain during play because of the vertical jump needed to spike the ball. Running shoes do not give enough stability for volleyball.(for more info please read the coach's corner).

Some volleyball shoes cost around $100 and some cost $30. I'm going to recommend a shoe for each price range which I feel you are getting your money's worth.
